Great dinner 1週間ぶりの米と魚

I'm at Caribou Coffee to use the Internet. I've been staying for 2 hours so far and they gave me sample of some cockies and latte for free=) But I just found out there is no Caribou Coffee in Hawaii! Noooooo!!　　　　　カリブーコーヒーに長居すると、クッキーとかカフェラテのサンプルを貰えるからいい!　ハワイにカリブーがないって本当かな!?お気に入りだったのに・・・


My professor and his wife took me to a dinner at Japanese Restaurant "Yokohama" in Westmont, IL yesterday. We had many great dishes and rolls. Thank you!!　　昨日、教授たちにウェストモントにある「横浜」っていう日本食レストランに連れて行ってもらった。1週間ぶりの米と魚、やっぱり美味いは～　
Shiso-Madai Tempura(シソ真鯛天ぷら）, Squid（イカ）, Raw Beef（牛刺）, Rainbow roll（レインボーロール）, Zuwaigani-tempura roll（ズワイ蟹ロール）, Philadelphia roll（フィラデルフィアロール）, TNT roll（ツナ、何とかロール）, Dynamite roll（ダイナマイトロール）, and Futo-Maki（太巻き）


After the dinner, we went to Oakbrook Center for shopping. It is a huge outside mall in Oakbrook, IL. I personally like this better than Woodfield only for summer. 　夕食の後はオークブルックにある巨大な野外モールへ。仙台泉のアウトレットの3倍くらいはあったような・・・　夏はウッドフィールドよりこっちの方がいいかも!?

Fun Day

I stayed in my friends' house in Rockford last night and had some good time with them and their babyyyyy Ema-chan(江茉ちゃん)昨夜はロックフォードにいる友達の家にお邪魔へ。8ヶ月の赤ちゃんエマちゃんと遊んできた。

Then, I drove all way down to Naperville(86 miles away from Rockford) to meet up with some friends of mine and play soccer. We only had 5 ppl, but it was still lots of fun by just kicking around the ball.それから130㌔ドライブしてネイパーヴィルにて友達とサッカー。

ふつぅ～の日記になっちゃった・・・。早くアパート探さなきゃ

American foods 5 days in a row 5日連続アメリカンフード

Since I came back to the States, I've had all American foods for dinner 5 days in a row: McDonald's, Papa Johns, Steak 'n Shake, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Chili's. I guess my blood pressure has been high thanks to too much ingestion of Sodium...

アメリカに着いてから5日間、朝無し、昼はカップラーメン、夜は5日連続でアメリカンフード。なかなかダイエットが上手く進まないなぁ～　1日目マック、2日目パパジョンズ(Papa John's)のピザ、3日目ステーキ＆シェイク(Steak 'n Shake)でバーガーとシェイク、4日目バッファローウィング(Buffalo Wild Wing)で鶏肉、5日目はChili'sで巨大バーガー（写真）・・・一昨日血圧測ったら８０、１４５ｗ　このままだとハワイに着く前に病死してしまうかな!?

Short Trip to Yamagata Prefecture 山形にて釣り

I had a short trip to my neighbor prefecture "Yamagata(山形)" with my dad today. Even though it was so rainy and windy, we found a river whose condition was fine and did trout fishing shortly. My dad caught one large and one small Yamame(山女), a brook trout in English.
今日は山形へ釣り紀行。あいにくの強風＆雨の中、唯一濁ってない川を発見して、釣果は26センチと小さ目のヤマメ2匹!!　もちろん塩焼きして食べて美味しかった～
Besides fishing, We stopped by some private direct sale stores that sell watermelons and veggies in the City of Obanazawa(尾花沢), where is famous for a specialty of watermelons. "Densuke watermelon" is different than others because it doesn't have any black vertical-striped pattern on its skin. And it was very sweet!尾花沢といえばスイカ。時期はちょっと早いけど、個人直売店で「でんすけスイカ」を購入。黒の縦じまが無くて、甘みのあるスイカでした。
On our way back, a tree frog was also riding on hood of the car. Cool looking!久しぶりに雨蛙を見た。しかも走行中の車のボンネットの上でｗ　そしてナイスショットを一枚。

昨日はサーフィン、今日は釣り...遊んでばっかりだ。そろそろいい加減、渡航の準備しなくちゃいけないな～

Surfing, Shopping, and Quitting

I had such a busy day last 4 days. Speaking of surfing last weekend, I finally became to be able to take-off!! It's getting so fun to ride on a wave. Now balancing on the board with unstable waves and heading toward to the direction I want to go are one of my challenges at this step. I want to make good use of my only few more practices before going to Hawaii. Also, I went to the party for the second anniversary of Laule'a Surf Shop with my brother and friends.

Yesterday, I went shopping in Sendai for souvenirs to my friends in the States. Besides that, I had a good lunch at Bangkok Dining "TINUN" in shopping mall PARCO located near the Sendai station, where you can look down the pedestrian deck in front of the station.↑Bird's-eye view of Sendai Station

...and today, I finally quitted my part-time job at Eichi Supplementary Private School. It was only two months, but I had such a good time and experience to teach and talk about lots of different stories and complaints with each of my individual students. Wish them good luck and effort on their studies for entrance exams.

（金曜日）初の県外サーフィン遠征。友達と3時起きで福島県南相馬までサーフィン。パワーのあるいい波だったけど、第3ラウンドもして一度もテイクオフ出来ず....福島は水が冷たいけど、透き通って綺麗で最高!!アメリカ行く前にもう一度行ってみたいな～

（土曜日）今度は近場にてサーフィン。この日は、千葉から有名なサーフボードのシェイパーが来ていて、兄がボードを購入するに当たって乗り具合を見てもらっていた。俺はと言うと、ここ3週間続いていたスランプをついに脱出!!なんとテイクオフの感覚をつかみ、波に12回も乗る奇跡を起こして有頂天に。夜は、お世話になっているサーフショップLaule'aの2周年記念パーティーへ。くじ引きで９５％の人たちが何かしらいい商品を手に入れる中、俺は残りの5％に入り、当たったのは「まるまつ」の100円ドリンクバーサービス券.....くじ運が全くありませ～ん!!

（日曜日）ホーム浜一にてサーフィン。この日も好調で波に乗ることが出来た。徐々にサーフィンの楽しさが分かってきた。

（月曜日）昼間は仙台へ買い物。パルコの最上階にあるタイ料理レストランで昼食。やっぱりタイ料理は美味しい！　どうでもいい所で運を使ってしまうのか、スクラッチで1000円を当てる。 夜は、石巻港と鳴瀬川河口に夜釣りへ。スズキが大量に水面を跳ねているにもかかわらず、1回もヒットがないっていう残念な結果で終わった...。今度はちゃんと潮の流れを見てからいこう。

（火曜日）今日で2ヶ月間働いた英智学館でのあるバイトも終了。教える側として予習の時間や責任が重大で、給料のわりに楽ではないバイトだった。

けど、ちゃんとできる子もいれば.....

★教室を障害物競走場にして運動会で盛り上がる、おてんばな小学４年生。
★塾で勉強せず弁当だけ食べて帰る、やんちゃな中学３年生。
★学校での悩みを相談してくる、愚痴好きな高校３年生。
★勉強そっちのけで釣りの話題でしか口を利いてくれない、趣味に没頭な中学１年生。
★塾の自習室に来て、３時間寝て帰る、自由気ままな高校１年生。
★「はい!はい!」と理解してうなずいている様で、実は全く先生の話を聞いていない、軌道修正不可能と見られる中学３年生。
★先生の顔色を伺って答えを導き出す、心理作戦を得意とする、エスパー高校２年生。
★「名前何ていうの？」と聞くと「私の名前ですか!?」と聞き返してくる、天然な高校３年生。

などなど.......いろんな生徒と出会えて面白かったな～　生徒もピンキリだけど、みんなそれぞれの目標に向かって頑張ってくれればいいですね！！　これで、長かった２ヶ月間の教師生活も幕を閉じました（笑）　THE END
