My room finally settled down.. 家具ゲット

I finally installed all furniture such as table, chairs, bookshelf, beds, and some other small stuff, which my friend gave me.
要約大きな家具ゲットした。テーブル、椅子、ベッド２つ、本棚、スキャナプリンター、キッチン用品、その他小物などなど・・・　はぁ～やっと落ち着いた感じがするけど、勉強が大変で落ち着かない....　今週はサーフィンが出来るかな・・・

For those people who check my blog and think that I just go surfing every other day and hang out with people, I remind you that I study too! Well, as long as I look back my blog, it seems to me I just have fun here in Hawaii..lol So this time is about the school.　
このブログを見て、ハワイで遊んでばっかりじゃんと思う人たちへ一言、ちゃんと勉強もしてます!ってことで、今日は学校のこと。
I'm still researching each professor and their field of study in order to choose one professor whom I will work together as a GRA. Also, I'm thinking of what theme my thesis is going to be. By the way, the most interesting course I'm currently taking is Climate and its Variability. Besides learning how much the recent human activities have affected the global warming especially last couple of decades, I also studied about climate purterbation and response,i.e. radiative forcing. The image shows one of the assignment in that course, questioning Climate Forcing(difference between forced state and base state) if 1)increasing solar constant by 1% and 2)adding IR opacity under each definition; a)Top-of-Atmosphere Definition, b)Tropopause definition with no stratospheric adjustment, and c)the full IPCC tropopause definition with adjusted stratosphere definition. I wonder if what I'm figuring out here is correct or not though....lol
教授選びはまだまだリサーチ中。教授の研究内容にあわせるか、人柄を優先するか....まぁ色々考慮した上で10月後半にまでは決めたいと思ってる。今取っている授業で一番興味があるのは、「気候とその変動」のクラス。もちろん本題は、ここ30年の異常なほどの気温上昇はどれくらい人為的要因が関係してる!?まぁ簡単に答えれば「かなり多くの人為的、自然的要因があってそんな簡単には答えられない」ってのが答え（笑）もちろん、人間のせいで温暖化が進んでるのは確か。しかも、皆が頑張れば温暖化ストップも可能!!ってのが、コンピューターによる気候モデルで出てる結果。人間が活動停止すれば100年後には2～3℃低くなるみたいな。温暖化が進めば、海が膨張して、更に極の氷が解けて、海水面が上昇するって言われてるけど、そうでもないみたい。見かけ上は確かに氷が解ければ水が増えるかもしれないけど、極の氷塊と海洋の動力学はあんまり詳しく解明されてないから、海水面上昇について、温暖化はただ根拠がない理由付け。写真は宿題の一部で、簡単に説明すると、1.地球に入る太陽定数を1%あげたら、2.成層圏における赤外線の吸収率をあげたら、地球の大気はどう対応するか。難しそうだけど分かると簡単←当たり前（笑）

My room is gradually getting livable! Beach chairs, surf board, fan...it is like on beach=) Should I get a beach parasol for my room!? どんどん人が住めるような部屋になってきた。けど、よく見るとビーチチェア＆マット、サーフボード、扇風機にスダレと...って海の家かっ!!カキ氷作るやつ買わなきゃww

Beautiful Evening Glow after surfing 今日の一枚

Most times, I usually go surfing in evening, so I always see such a beautiful evening glow after I get tired from paddling. But the problem is.... Where I park my car and go surfing is near around the beach supposely known as a gay beach, located in front of Kapiolani park between Waikiki and Diamond Head. So lots of male couples are laying around or chatting there. I wish other tourists wouldn't think me as one of those males....
サーフィン後のショット。いつも夕方に行くから、サーフィンで疲れた後は、観光客に混じりながら夕日を見届ける....ってわけでもなくさっさと帰るんだけどねｗ　けど、今日は写真を撮ってみた。この辺り（ワイキキとダイヤモンドヘッドの間、カピオラニパークの前）は通称ゲイ（ホモ）・ビーチ。ってことで、結構男同士のカップル見かけるんだ。きもいよｗ

Oh my camera....when my friend handed over my camera to me, we dropped it and my camera got a little crack on the edge....damn. It still works as a camera, but no more waterproof function...=( what the useless in hawaii. カメラ壊しちゃった・・落として、角にヒビ入って、カメラとしては使えるけど、防水機能１００％失った・・・・。最悪。

It's been getting busier at school. So far I've learned....

Dynamics] Equations of state and thermodynamic energy, Conservation of momentum and vorticity: effects of rotation, and Density stratification and static stability: effects of gravity..... there are too many equations to memorize and understand...（大気力学）熱力学、渦度、大気の運動などの式をひたすら勉強....式見てるだけで吐き気がしてくるｗ
[Statistical Met] Review of Probability such as conditional prob. and Bayes' theorem, Graphical summary tech., and power transformations.... Good class since we don't have any exams!=D（気象統計学）ベイズの定理など....
[Climate and Climate Variability] Review of the IPCC process and 2007 Assessment, Blackbody function, Atmos. radiative energy balance, anthropogenic global change concerning observed CO2 record.（気候とその変動性）IPCC（気候変動に関する政府間パネル）の評価、黒体と大気放射バランスの復習など...

Last weekend was long weekend due to the holiday Labor Day. I went to Chinatown to buy foods, went surfing but no waves there, drove down to Lanikai Beach to see sunrise in early morning, stopped by Nuanuu Pali Outlook, as well as I studied whole day on Labor Day. It was very productive weekend, which made me lack of sleep...先週末は労働者の日で休みだったから３連休。寝る時間を削って、遊びまくり、勉強しまくりの３日間だった（金）サーフィン→勉強（土）チャイナタウンで野菜買い物→サーフィン→勉強（日）徹夜でラニカイビーチで朝日→カイルアで朝食＆仮眠→ヌアヌウ・パリ展望台でまた昼寝ｗ午後は焼肉&昼寝ｗ夜はもちろん勉強試みたけどダメで睡眠（月）一日中大学で宿題→夜はグリーンカレーを食べにタイレストラン→大学の寮へ遊びに行った。　週末のほうが忙しい生活ですｗ

I went to Chinatown in downtown Honolulu to look for cheap and fresh food. I felt bad for these pigs. They are delicious tho..lol かわいそうな豚たち。

everyday is same...ハワイアンライフ♪

Waking up at 7, going to school by bus at 8am, attending classes in the morning, studying in my office until 4pm, going surfing in evening, cooking for dinner, studying little more if I feel in that way, and going bed at midnight. Everyday seems the same....　朝7時起床、8時にバスで通学、午前中授業、午後はオフィスで勉強、夕方はサーフィン、ちょっと豪華な夕飯作ってからは、勉強かリラックスタイム、深夜12時に就寝。ここ4日間毎日が同じだよｗｗ　最近色んな店行って思ったけど、ドンキホーテが一番食材安い事に気づいた。

My brother-in-law recently bought a new shortboard(green). The old one(white&blue) will be mine soooooon!!　早く古いほう持って来て～

Finally, I registered my car in Hawaii and got a license plate of ALOHA STATE! 車登録も済ませて、やっと手に入れたアロハステイトのナンバープレート。

2 days ago, I went surfing at Blackpoint/Diamond Head, 10 min away by car from my place. There was no wave at Waikiki, so I decided to head to this point, where two strong ocean currents hit each other, producing powerful and fast waves breaking down in shallow reef area. Well, as I expected before getting into water, I was nearly drowned most times....but I could miraculously catch couple of waves!! 初めてダイヤモンドヘッドの脇にあるブラックポイントでサーフィン。見た感じ、俺以外はみんなロコｗ　ここはワイキキと違って流れがあって、初心者には向いてないよって言われながら、けどワイキキはどフラットだったから仕方なく入ってみた。案の定、流れにはまったり、飲まれてばっかりだったけど、何本か乗れて大満足！！自分で波に乗ったっていうか、波が勝手に乗っけてくれた感はあったけど.....笑
