Untamed Nature

The school starts today!! I'm taking Atmospheric Dynamics 1, Statistical Meteorology, and Climate and Climate Variability with total 9 credit hours.　　今日から学校が始まったよー　今学期は大気力学、気象統計学、気候とその変動の3つのクラス。正直ついていけるか大心配ｗ　サーフィンと文武両道で頑張っていこう!ｗ

BTW, my friend and I went driving on half of Oahu and doing some marine sports last Saturday, taking 17 hours! It was so much fun!!　一昨日、オリエンテーションであった友達と早速オアフ半周旅行してきた。17時間くらいかかったからねｗ

(A)We departed Waikiki 8am.

(B)Kailua & Lanikai Beach（カイルア＆ラニカイビーチ）-------We borrowed a kayak and paddled all way down to Flat Island, where many wild birds inhabit, and Lanikai Beach. On our way, we saw a baby sea turtle!! Also, we did snorkelling, but my friend got a jellyfish attack, so decided to go back to get some medicine. Thanks to the attack and strong wind on that day, we gave up going to one of the desert islands(refer the pic below)　カイルアにある行き付けの!?レンタルショップでカヤック借りて早速フラットアイランドに向かった。強風のせいで双子島!?には行けず、ラニカイビーチでスノーケリング。友達がクラゲにやられたけど、60センチくらいの海がめの子供も見れて大満足!!

(C)Byodo-in in Kaneohe（カネオヘにある平等院）---------There is a Japanese temple called Byodo-in. I've even never seen the real Byodo-in in Kyoto,Japan lol

(D)(E)We drove all way along the north-east coast via Kualoa, Kahuku, and Turtle Bay resort.　クアロア、カフク、タートルベイまでひたすら北上。

(F)Sunset Beach in north shore　（サンセットビーチ）----- We stopped by Sunset Beach and took a nap for 2 hours to get some tan and wait the sunset. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!　波のないサンセットビーチへ。ここは冬になったら怪物と化すんだろうなｗ　日が沈むまで2時間くらい昼寝。夕焼けマジ綺麗だった！

(G)Haleiwa Town（ハレイワ）---- we got some seafood dinner here. I wanted to stop by some surf shops, but they were all closed=( I want to come back here in North shore soon to see people surfing on 10 - 20 feet tall crazy waves in winter.　時間も時間でサーフショップ見れなくて残念....

(H)Tantalus Hill（タンタラスの丘）----- You can see such a nice night scenery of Honolulu from this hill. However, this cannot beat both the night scenery of Chicago from Hancock Tower and the one of New York from Rockafellar Center.　旅の締めくくりは、タンタラスノ丘で夜景。夜景が綺麗っていうより、ちょい雨交じりの冷たい風が気持ちよかったｗ　シカゴとかニューヨークの夜景を見てるから、ホノルルの夜景はたいしたことなし！　

Just a brief update again thanks to lack of the Internet access in my room yet!　部屋にインターネットが無いから自分のオフィスから簡単にアップデート。

I finally found my apartment last weekend and things have settled down, giving me some free time to go surfing and other activities with my friends!! It's not comfortable to stay in my room since there is no furniture yet like the image below. I need to wait for one month to get all kinds of furniture from my friend, so be patient and patient.　全然家具がないから住んでる気しないｗ

Anyway, I went hiking with my friend at Diamond Head yesterday. You can see pretty much everything around the south shore of Oahu from up there.　昨日友達とダイヤモンドヘッドにハイキングしに行ってきた。
